You would sit in one of three product teams (SMB, Scaler or Enterprise) and pick the quickest route to a working feature: fine-tune one of Photoroom's own vision or diffusion models when that pays off, or plug in an outside model or API when it doesn't. Projects run for weeks, not quarters, and the code goes straight into the product.
It ranks first for three reasons in the inputs: it was posted three days ago, it asks for the least experience of any role here, and it is the only hybrid one. It also spells out the relocation offer (visa sponsorship plus up to €10,000) and says French isn't required.
Best for:** an applied ML engineer with a couple of years in production who cares more about users than benchmarks.
Skip it if: you want long research cycles, or you haven't fine-tuned vision or diffusion models in PyTorch, TensorFlow or JAX.
Salary: No salary on the listing (it says "competitive salary + meaningful equity" without numbers).
At a glance: Paris · hybrid from the Paris HQ · 2+ years · posted 26 October (3 days ago).
What stood out: Photoroom has posted 6 listings in France on The Stack in the last 90 days, more than any other direct employer.
Watch out for: the process includes a take-home technical assignment, and no pay range is given.
