Applied AI, Forward Deployed Machine Learning Engineer, Critical and Sovereign Institutions, EMEA at Mistral AI

Responsibilities:
- Deliver end-to-end deployment of AI solutions for critical and sovereign institutions, from technical design to production roll-out and maintenance.
- Build secure, compliant GenAI applications tailored to regulated environments and operational constraints.
- Collaborate closely with researchers, AI engineers and product teams on fine-tuning, inference, and operational integrations.
- Support pre-sales and client engagement by scoping technical solutions, estimating effort, and advising on architecture and compliance.
- Iterate on products using customer feedback to improve performance, security and operational robustness.

Requirements:
- Master’s or PhD in a relevant field, with 2+ years hands-on experience in AI/ML or applied research/engineering roles.
- Strong proficiency in Python and PyTorch, with practical experience fine-tuning and deploying LLMs (inference and serving).
- Experience with MLOps, cloud deployments (AWS/GCP/Azure) and production-grade orchestration and monitoring.
- Familiarity with security, compliance and risk management in regulated or sovereign contexts; eligible to obtain high-level security clearance where required.
- Excellent technical communication skills and ability to operate autonomously in customer-facing engagements.
