About the role
Responsibilities:
- Work with data scientists and subject-matter experts to clarify project questions, available data and desired outputs.
- Clean, combine and explore datasets; write clear Python code and document assumptions and checks.
- Build and compare basic statistical or ML models, evaluate performance, and identify limitations or bias.
- Help develop and test prototypes (including LLM-based approaches where appropriate) and prepare concise charts and written findings.
- Use feedback and code review to improve work, contribute to reproducible project files and share learnings with the team.
Requirements:
- Practical hands-on data science experience from projects, internships, research or commercial work.
- Proficiency in Python and a grounding in statistics and common ML methods (training, testing and evaluation).
- Care for data quality, clear documentation and reproducible code; willingness to learn version control and collaborative workflows.
- Clear written and spoken English and curiosity to translate client problems into analytical approaches.
- Relevant degree or equivalent practical experience in a quantitative or social science field.
