Responsibilities:
- Own and implement the backend data layer powering product features and workflows.
- Architect and operate high-availability, high-throughput PostgreSQL deployments (replication, failover, pooling).
- Design and maintain ClickHouse pipelines for large-scale analytics and event data.
- Write high-quality Rust services focused on performance and robustness.
- Define processes for data modeling, schema evolution, reliability and observability; collaborate with product and technical staff.

Requirements:
- Strong backend/infrastructure engineering experience with hands-on PostgreSQL expertise at scale (replication, optimization, schema design).
- Experience building ClickHouse or comparable analytical pipelines for high-volume event data.
- Proficiency in systems programming (Rust) or comparable production-grade languages and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, observability (Prometheus/Grafana/OpenTelemetry) and high-availability patterns.
- Product-oriented mindset, clear asynchronous communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced startup (Paris office in-person role).
