## About the role

Responsibilities:
- Build next-generation recommendation backend services in Node.js/TypeScript.
- Implement and maintain high-performance APIs with low latency for production traffic.
- Integrate and query large datasets via BigQuery and align with BI/data platform deliverables.
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists and product owners to ship features and improve recommendation quality.
- Contribute to architecture, code quality, observability and performance tuning.
- Explore and adopt new technologies, especially in ML and generative AI, to improve product outcomes.

Requirements:
- 2+ years experience building scalable backend APIs (Node.js, Python or Go) and working in an agile English-speaking environment.
- Practical experience with a typed language (TypeScript) and solid SQL/NoSQL knowledge.
- Strong coding standards: write efficient, maintainable code and keep quality high.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills; willingness to take end-to-end ownership of services.
- Nice to have: Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, dbt, MPP warehouses (BigQuery/Redshift), Datadog, cloud (AWS/GCP), orchestration (Dagster/Airflow), distributed processing, ML/LLM experience.

## Responsibilities

You will develop next-generation recommendation engines using NodeJS and TypeScript while managing large data volumes in Google BigQuery. You will also collaborate with data scientists and engineers to build high-traffic APIs and integrate them with business intelligence systems.

## Requirements

The role requires 2+ years of experience in building scalable APIs and practical knowledge of typed programming languages like TypeScript. Candidates should also possess solid skills in SQL or No-SQL databases and a strong ability to write efficient, maintainable code.
