Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement high-availability financial engines (e.g. Yield Engine) that manage large asset pools and provide near-instant liquidity.
- Design and build brokerage infrastructure and trading interfaces, from greenfield components to scaling live services across regions.
- Define APIs, custody guarantees and consistency models to ensure financial-grade data integrity and fault tolerance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with PMs, designers and analysts to shape product direction and deliver customer value.
- Drive performance testing, capacity planning, observability and on-call/runbook ownership for production systems.
- Mentor teammates, enforce clean code, automated testing and reliable CI/CD practices.
Requirements:
- Strong production experience with Java and Spring Boot or equivalent backend frameworks.
- Proven knowledge of distributed systems, messaging (Kafka or similar), and building scalable microservices.
- Experience designing for low latency, high concurrency, consistency and high availability.
- Familiarity with API design, system architecture, performance profiling and reliability engineering.
- Product-oriented mindset, excellent communication and ability to make trade-offs with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in cloud environments and owning operational responsibilities; eager to learn missing skills.
