## About the role

Responsibilities:
- Lead the transformation of the Data Platform team from service-oriented to product-oriented, prioritising automation, scalability and developer enablement.
- Define and drive the long-term technical strategy and roadmap aligned with AI/data use cases and regulatory constraints.
- Deliver tooling, guardrails and self-service interfaces to enable teams to use platform capabilities autonomously and safely.
- Build, coach and grow a high-performing cross-functional team; own performance management and career development.
- Act as primary liaison between Engineering, Product, Security and stakeholders to represent roadmap and priorities.
- Promote a culture of ownership, technical leadership and reliable platform delivery.

Requirements:
- Proven experience leading platform, infrastructure or ML engineering teams in complex or regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native data architectures (AWS preferred), infrastructure-as-code and observability.
- Track record transforming teams, hiring and developing engineering talent and raising delivery maturity.
- Experience defining product-oriented platform roadmaps and enabling developer self-service.
- Excellent stakeholder management, strategic thinking and communication skills.
- Familiarity with MLOps, model deployment and compliance considerations is a plus.
