## About the role

Responsibilities:
- Design, build and operate scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT) using Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Lake and related services.
- Transform raw financial-services data into analytics-ready models and maintain data quality and lineage.
- Collaborate with business, analytics and IT teams to capture data requirements, prioritise use cases and document data flows.
- Troubleshoot data issues: perform root-cause analysis, gap assessments and implement remediation.
- Implement CI/CD for data solutions, automate deployments via Azure DevOps and support runtime monitoring and alerting.
- Contribute to data governance, security and compliance activities (privacy, regulatory reporting) across projects.

Requirements:
- 3+ years' hands-on experience in data engineering, preferably in Financial Services or consulting.
- Strong Azure experience (Azure SQL/MSSQL, Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake) and proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Practical knowledge of data modelling, ETL/ELT patterns, and data pipeline design for analytics workloads.
- Experience with cloud data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake) and big-data processing (Spark) is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery, CI/CD practices and working in multi-stakeholder client engagements.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across finance, operations, compliance, and technical teams.

## Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to transform raw data into structured formats for analytics. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data requirements and ensure compliance with data governance and regulatory standards.

## Requirements

Requires a bachelor's degree in a quantitative field and at least 3 years of data engineering experience within a consulting firm or large financial institution. Proficiency in Azure services, advanced SQL, Python, and Agile delivery is essential.
