Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the backend checkout team; set technical direction and ensure delivery of high-quality services.
- Define and implement scalable architecture and event-driven patterns for high-load checkout flows.
- Collaborate with Product, QA and Design to ship reliable features and maintain performance, availability and security.
- Own deployment, CI/CD and infrastructure integration (Kubernetes, Helm, AWS) and promote observability and testing standards.
- Introduce and champion modern engineering practices, including effective use of AI tooling where appropriate.

Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience with at least 5–6 years in backend development and proven leadership/mentorship experience.
- Deep experience with PHP 8+, Symfony or Laravel in scalable, high-load environments; strong MySQL and Redis knowledge.
- Practical experience with Kubernetes, Helm, AWS and CI/CD tooling (e.g. GitLab) and event-driven architectures.
- Strong software architecture skills, focus on reliability, performance and operational excellence.
- Fluent English communication; Golang or Generative AI experience is a plus.
