Responsibilities:
- Operate and improve the production recommendation infrastructure to serve personalized content at scale with low latency and high availability.
- Turn prototypes into production-grade models and pipelines: package models, build data pipelines, automate training, and deploy with monitoring.
- Research and prototype advanced recommender approaches (deep learning, contextual bandits, session-based, graph methods) and validate via controlled experiments.
- Design scalable serving and caching strategies, pipeline orchestration, and fault-tolerant systems to handle growth in users and catalog size.
- Maintain data quality and transformations in DBT/Databricks and support experimentation and A/B testing frameworks.
- Monitor model performance, set up alerts, and iterate on models based on metrics and user impact.

Requirements:
- Strong Python and SQL skills with proven experience building and maintaining production ML pipelines (DBT, Databricks preferred).
- Hands-on experience deploying ML models on AWS services (SageMaker, Lambda, ECS, Step Functions) or equivalent cloud infra.
- Familiarity with recommendation algorithms (learning-to-rank, two-tower, transformers, contextual bandits, session-based, graph methods).
- Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow/Prefect/Dagster), CI/CD for ML, and model monitoring/observability.
- Solid system design skills to ensure reliability, scalability, and low latency for serving layers.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience; experience with experimentation and production A/B testing at scale.
