Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy and operate the AWS infrastructure that runs the Nyx ground segment (EC2, EKS, RDS, EBS/EFS, S3).
- Manage Kubernetes (EKS) clusters: node scaling, upgrades, networking (CNI, ingress), RBAC and workload scheduling.
- Implement and maintain IaC (Terraform/AWS CDK/CloudFormation) to keep environments reproducible and versioned.
- Build CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test and deployment of ground software with minimal manual intervention.
- Implement observability (metrics, logging, alerting), backups and data retention strategies for telemetry and mission data.
- Enforce security and compliance: IAM policies, KMS/secrets management, network segmentation, encryption and patching.
- Participate in on‑call rotations and incident response during launches; collaborate closely with flight and ground software teams.

Requirements:
- 3+ years in DevOps or cloud infrastructure with hands‑on AWS experience (EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, EBS/EFS).
- Strong Kubernetes skills (cluster ops, Helm, resource tuning and troubleshooting) and IaC experience (Terraform/CDK/CloudFormation).
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions or similar) and solid networking knowledge (VPCs, subnets, LB, DNS, VPN).
- Familiarity with observability stacks and data retention; security‑first mindset (IAM, KMS, secrets handling).
- Comfortable with on‑call duties and high‑pressure incident response; aerospace or regulated‑systems experience is advantageous.
