Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain Python services that manage integrations inside Foundry: schema/validation, catalogs/versioning, install/upgrade/remove lifecycles, configuration and secrets handling, health checks, and REST APIs for UI/CLI.
- Define and implement the integration contract so external engines plug into IAM, metadata and UI consistently.
- Own deployment packaging and installers (Helm charts, operators, offline bundles) to keep the platform installable and upgradeable across Kubernetes distributions, clouds, sovereign clouds, and air-gapped environments.
- Integrate platform with customer infra: OIDC/SAML identity providers, object storage, container registries, ingress, network policies, and GPU scheduling.
- Own CI/CD pipelines, release process, and multi-environment integration tests for every supported deployment target.
- Instrument services with metrics, logs, and traces and produce runbooks for operating production deployments.
- Stabilise prototypes and one-off integrations into documented, versioned services and tooling for teams and customers.
Requirements:
- 5+ years in platform, infrastructure, or backend engineering; ≥2 years operating production workloads on Kubernetes.
- 3+ years shipping production Python backends (API design, data models, testing, packaging); experience with FastAPI, DRF or similar.
- Experience with input validation using Pydantic (or equivalent), REST API versioning and auth patterns.
- Experience with Postgres access and migrations (SQLAlchemy, Alembic or equivalent) and schema design.
- Comfortable with async Python, structured logging, pytest, type hints and linters.
- Programmatic interaction with Kubernetes and cloud APIs from Python (k8s client, Boto3 or equivalent) for installers/controllers/operational tooling.
- Hands-on experience with Helm and Kubernetes packaging and maintaining charts used by others.
- Experience deploying into on-prem/private-cloud/restricted-network/air-gapped environments.
- Practical AWS experience (EKS, ECR, RDS, S3, Secrets Manager), enterprise identity integration (OIDC/OAuth2/SAML), and Docker image practices.
