## About the role

Responsibilities:
- Design, build and operate a cloud-native, multi-cluster Kubernetes platform (OKD/OpenShift) across AWS, Azure and EU cloud.
- Implement and automate GitOps deployment pipelines (ArgoCD, Kargo) and manage CI/CD workflows.
- Model and extend platform capabilities with Crossplane compositions, Terraform and custom APIs.
- Implement progressive delivery and service mesh patterns (Istio); enforce policies with Kyverno.
- Run SRE activities: incident response, capacity planning, security hardening, backups and on-call support.
- Improve observability and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana); provide platform troubleshooting and developer enablement.
- Use AI-assisted tooling and automation to speed up engineering workflows and reduce manual toil.

Requirements:
- Proven experience with Kubernetes and self-operated distros (OKD/OpenShift) and multi-cluster operations.
- Hands-on experience with GitOps tools (ArgoCD/Flux), Infrastructure-as-Code (Crossplane, Terraform) and cloud providers (AWS/Azure).
- Practical knowledge of monitoring, logging and alerting stacks (Prometheus, Grafana) and operational tooling.
- Strong security mindset: identity, encryption, policy enforcement (Kyverno) and secure platform practices.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python preferred, or Go/Java); operator/controller development is a plus.
- Familiarity with service mesh concepts (Istio), progressive delivery and SRE/observability practices.
- Collaborative communication skills and willingness to adopt new AI/automation technologies to improve platform delivery.
