Responsibilities:
- Analyse processor, SoC, Root of Trust and firmware designs for security weaknesses.
- Review hardware architecture and implementation to identify vulnerabilities and attack surfaces.
- Reproduce published attacks and develop new proof-of-concept attacks using C and assembly (RISC‑V preferred).
- Design and run security tests (microarchitectural, physical, memory-related) and automate where possible.
- Produce clear technical reports, mitigation recommendations and update security specifications.
- Work closely with hardware teams to validate fixes, support certification and regulatory readiness.
Requirements:
- 2–5 years in hardware security, computer architecture or systems security.
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant technical field.
- Strong understanding of RISC‑V and SoC/processor microarchitecture.
- Practical experience in C and assembly programming; ability to build PoC attacks and tests.
- Familiarity with hardware attack techniques (side-channel, fault injection, microarchitectural attacks) and vulnerability analysis.
- Strong technical documentation and collaborative skills.
Desirable (optional):
- Experience with Caliptra/OpenTitan, side-channel analysis, fault injection, cryptography (incl. PQC), confidential computing, TEE/remote attestation, and standards (EU CRA, Common Criteria, FIPS 140-3).
- Python for test automation and data analysis.
