## About the role

Responsibilities:
- Design, build and operate scalable production AI/ML systems for personalization, semantic search and RAG-driven experiences.
- Own vector search strategy and implementations (Vertex AI Vector Search, pgvector, Pinecone) for high-scale similarity and semantic retrieval.
- Define and govern customer and event data models in BigQuery to support analytics, targeting and model inputs.
- Implement embedding and retrieval pipelines to surface AI-driven signals into CRM, CDP and marketing automation flows.
- Architect and deploy AI services on GCP (Vertex AI, Cloud Run, GKE, Dataflow, Pub/Sub) with reliability and observability in mind.
- Partner with product and marketing teams to translate customer and commercial needs into prioritized AI products and experiments.
- Set engineering standards for production ML (code reviews, design reviews, reliability, monitoring, testing).

Requirements:
- Proven experience architecting, deploying and maintaining production-grade AI/ML systems at scale.
- Strong GCP expertise, especially BigQuery and Vertex AI; hands-on with vector databases and semantic search.
- Deep data modeling skills (relational and dimensional) and experience with high-volume customer/event datasets.
- Advanced Python skills and familiarity with ML frameworks, LLMs and RAG architectures.
- Practical experience integrating AI outputs with marketing tech stacks (CRMs, CDPs, automation tools).
- Awareness of data privacy and compliance (e.g., GDPR) and experience designing privacy-conscious systems.
- Strong communication skills; ability to lead technical discussions and work in fast-paced, iterative environments.
