## About the role

Responsibilities:
- Design, build and optimise downstream data models in BigQuery to support BI, ML, financial reconciliation and regulatory reporting.
- Own and maintain pipelines and data products; ensure reliability, observability and testing across the stack.
- Reduce warehouse cost and complexity through schema, query and ETL optimisation.
- Define and enforce best practices: payload design, logical modelling, metadata, testing and documentation standards (dbt/Dataform conventions).
- Collaborate with product, engineering and data science to translate requirements into robust data models and monitoring.
- Investigate and drive improvements to data quality and governance; contribute to prioritisation and remediation.

Requirements:
- Strong SQL and data modelling experience with BigQuery or similar columnar warehouses.
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools and frameworks (dbt, Dataform, Airflow, Luigi or similar).
- Proficiency in Python; familiarity with Go is a plus.
- Practical experience delivering data for BI, ML and financial/regulatory use cases; attention to accuracy and reconciliation.
- Skilled in testing, metadata management and monitoring for production data systems.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills; experience working with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

## Responsibilities

Build and optimize robust downstream data models in BigQuery to support internal reporting, machine learning, and regulatory use cases. Define and manage best practices for the data warehouse, including payload design, metadata standards, and data governance.

## Requirements

Requires strong expertise in SQL, data modelling, and ETL projects with a passion for big data and financial systems. Experience with Python, Go, orchestration frameworks, and dbt is highly preferred.
