Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture and long-term evolution of complex, distributed backend systems for our content publishing platform.
- Design, build and operate resilient, scalable services using Java/Spring, Docker and Kubernetes on AWS.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code with Terraform and ensure reliable deployments and monitoring.
- Drive adoption of modern engineering practices (trunk-based development, CI/CD, code reviews) across teams.
- Collaborate with product and platform teams to influence technical decisions at scale.
- Mentor engineers, maintain up-to-date technical documentation, and foster continuous learning and ownership.
- Contribute to AI-powered initiatives and integrate workflow orchestration where needed.

Requirements:
- Strong experience with Java and Spring in microservices and event-driven architectures.
- Proven knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker and operating services on AWS; Terraform experience preferred.
- Solid system architecture skills and history of delivering production-ready, scalable backend systems.
- Ability to work autonomously, take end-to-end ownership, and deliver high-quality code.
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills; ability to influence engineering culture and practices.
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Camunda) is a plus.
