## About the role

Responsibilities:
- Take end-to-end ownership of backend services that power mobile products (design, implement, operate).
- Architect and build resilient systems with Kotlin and Spring Boot; implement serverless and container-based components on AWS.
- Improve observability and operability: monitoring, logging, metrics and alerting for service health and performance.
- Collaborate with the MaPS platform and cross-functional mobile teams to deploy on Kubernetes and ensure smooth integrations.
- Design clean APIs and documentation for use by Android, iOS and other backend teams.
- Mentor peers, participate in architectural decisions, and help shape engineering processes and technical vision.

Requirements:
- 5+ years of backend or software engineering experience, ideally on JVM-based systems.
- Fluent in Kotlin and experienced with Spring Boot; track record of running production services.
- Solid experience with AWS (Lambda, S3, IAM) and familiarity with container workloads and Kubernetes.
- Strong focus on observability, testing, and maintainable API design.
- Good communication skills and willingness to support cross-functional teams and mentoring activities.
- Practical mindset for balancing scalability, reliability and time-to-delivery.
