Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end design, development and support of Power BI reports and dashboards from requirements to publishing in Power BI Service.
- Translate stakeholder needs into user-focused visualisations and actionable reporting products.
- Create and maintain data models, pipelines and data preparation processes to ensure accuracy and performance.
- Define and promote reporting standards, governance, metadata and best practices for managed self-service reporting.
- Build documentation, guidance and training materials; provide user support and help colleagues adopt reporting tools.
- Implement accessibility, performance and data-quality checks; monitor and maintain published reports.
- Collaborate with data platform, product and business teams to align reporting with strategic and operational priorities.
Requirements:
- Proven experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards, including Power BI Service deployment and governance.
- Strong skills in data modelling, SQL, data preparation and working with enterprise data platforms.
- Solid understanding of visualisation principles, metadata standards and data quality practices.
- Experience engaging stakeholders, gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical solutions.
- Ability to document, train and support users to adopt managed self-service reporting.
- Good communication skills, attention to detail and a commitment to data governance and accessibility.
- Experience in public sector or large organisations is desirable; relevant BI qualifications or demonstrable experience required.
