## About the role

Responsibilities:
- Define, own and evolve enterprise-grade data architectures that are scalable, maintainable and aligned with client goals.
- Lead design of cloud-native data platforms, semantic layers, integration patterns and medallion-style data models.
- Establish and enforce governance standards: modelling conventions, metadata, lineage and cataloguing.
- Advise senior stakeholders and act as a trusted technical partner on data strategy and architecture decisions.
- Produce reference architectures, blueprints and reusable components to drive consistent delivery and enable engineering teams.
- Keep abreast of emerging platform technologies and promote best practices across projects.

Requirements:
- Extensive experience delivering large-scale data architectures and cloud-native platforms (Databricks, MS Fabric, AWS or similar).
- Strong data modelling knowledge (Kimball, 3NF, Data Vault) and practical experience with medallion architectures.
- Familiarity with metadata, unity-catalog-like solutions, data governance and lineage tooling.
- Experience with orchestration, CI/CD, DevOps and infrastructure-as-code to support repeatable deployments.
- Ability to communicate architecture decisions clearly and to guide cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Consultancy experience and domain knowledge (finance, telecoms, retail, healthcare) are advantageous but not required.
