(Senior) Data Engineer (all genders) - Data Platform - Parental leave cover 12 months at MOIA GmbH

Responsibilities:
- Build, operate and maintain core data platform applications (Airflow, QuickSight, Data Export API, CubeJS).
- Design and implement APIs and platform services focused on reliability, security and developer experience.
- Develop and deploy serverless and containerized applications on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/Fargate, EKS, S3).
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments using IaC (Terraform/OpenTofu or CDK) and CI/CD.
- Implement monitoring, alerting and observability to ensure scalable, production-ready systems.
- Support and mentor teams across the company to enable self-service data usage and integrate platform offerings.

Requirements:
- Strong programming skills in Python; familiarity with Golang is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native development on AWS and serverless/container platforms.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/OpenTofu or CDK) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Exposure to job orchestration frameworks such as Airflow and to observability/monitoring practices.
- Good API design experience, understanding of authentication/authorization and production support practices.
- Collaborative mindset, excellent communication skills and willingness to mentor and share knowledge.
