## About the role

Responsibilities:
- Design, build and maintain end-to-end data platforms and scalable pipelines (batch and streaming).
- Ingest, store, transform and model large datasets; implement ETL/ELT best practices.
- Implement streaming solutions using Event Hubs/Kafka and expose data via APIs for consumers.
- Collaborate with business and development teams to translate requirements into data solutions.
- Communicate architecture, produce prototypes and contribute to delivery, governance and testing practices.
- Coach and mentor junior engineers and contribute to the Data Practice (pre-sales, accelerators, knowledge sharing).

Requirements:
- 4+ years data engineering experience with strong Azure skills: Databricks, Data Factory, Data Lake and SQL.
- Experience with streaming (Event Hubs, Kafka), APIs, ETL, and handling large/complex datasets.
- Proficiency in Python, R and SQL; solid data modelling knowledge (Kimball/Star Schema).
- Familiarity with DevOps/DevOps practices, version control (Git), testing and validation in pipelines/notebooks.
- Strong communication, analytical skills and ability to work in Agile delivery teams.
- Must be eligible for Security Clearance; certifications and public/private sector experience are desirable.
