## About the role

Responsibilities:
- Architect, design and operate the central Data Platform to support analytics, ML and BI across the company.
- Build and maintain scalable, reliable pipelines, data products and platform frameworks (ETL/ELT, transformation, ingestion).
- Integrate and evaluate new open-source tools and cloud services to expand platform capabilities and reduce operational overhead.
- Partner closely with Data Scientists, Analytics Engineers and BI teams to translate requirements into platform features and APIs.
- Define and enforce data governance, quality, access and security policies for platform users.
- Drive performance tuning, cost optimisation and runbook/observability improvements; mentor peers and document best practices.

Requirements:
- Proven experience designing, building and operating production data platforms, data lakes and cloud warehouses at scale.
- Advanced Python and SQL skills, with focus on transformation, validation and query optimisation for large datasets.
- Hands-on experience with GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, GKE) or equivalent cloud ecosystems.
- Familiarity with orchestration and modeling tools such as Apache Airflow and dbt; experience with dimensional and graph modelling is a plus.
- Strong practical knowledge of containerisation, CI/CD, Docker, Git and observability for data workloads.
- Professional fluency in English; Spanish is a plus. Collaborative mindset and a drive to mentor and innovate.
