## About the role

Responsibilities:
- Design, train and optimise retrieval, ranking and personalization ML models for search and recommendation.
- Deploy and serve models with strict low-latency constraints (millisecond-level inference) and integrate into production pipelines.
- Implement multi-stage ranking pipelines, semantic/ dense retrieval and neural rerankers where appropriate.
- Translate business problems into measurable ML objectives; define offline evaluation metrics and run online A/B tests.
- Collaborate with engineers, product and data teams to operationalise models and monitor model performance in production.
- Analyse errors, biases and edge cases to improve relevance, fairness and safety of recommendations.

Requirements:
- Proven experience building production ML systems for search or recommender use cases (retrieval + ranking stages).
- Strong foundations in ML model design (e.g., gradient boosting, two-tower, sequence models, neural rerankers) and evaluation.
- Experience with large-scale data processing, offline evaluation methodologies and online experimentation (A/B testing).
- Practical knowledge of serving models under low-latency constraints and monitoring/profiling production models.
- Ability to collaborate across engineering, product and research teams and communicate technical trade-offs clearly.

## Responsibilities
