## About the role

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain backend (Java/Spring/Hibernate) and frontend (TypeScript/Angular) components for NavVis IVION.
- Develop and extend APIs and SDKs to support 3D visualization, mapping and integrations with third-party systems.
- Architect, evolve and optimise PostgreSQL/PostGIS data layers for large-scale geospatial datasets.
- Improve performance, reliability and scalability across client–server systems; apply profiling and tuning.
- Drive feature delivery with product, design and QA: translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Maintain high engineering standards via code reviews, automated testing and documentation.
- Mentor engineers, lead technical discussions and help set squad-level technical roadmaps.

Requirements:
- ~7+ years of software development delivering complex, production systems.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring and Hibernate, and experience with modern web application architectures.
- Frontend experience with TypeScript and at least one framework (Angular, React or Vue).
- Solid knowledge of relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL and PostGIS, and handling data-intensive services.
- Proven experience building APIs/SDKs and driving technical decisions in cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to influence technical direction and mentor others.
- Bonus: working knowledge of C++; exposure to AWS, geospatial data pipelines or 3D/WebGL graphics.
