## About the role

Responsibilities:
- Deliver end-to-end data products on GCP from source onboarding to curated datasets, marts, and business outputs.
- Build and operate reliable ingestion pipelines using CDC, APIs, SFTP, and streaming patterns; ensure scalability and operational simplicity.
- Implement and maintain dbt-based transformation workflows focused on correctness, performance, and cost control.
- Design dimensional models (facts, dimensions, explicit grain, star schemas) and SCD handling to support analytics at scale.
- Translate business requirements into clear dimensional designs and dbt models; validate outputs with stakeholders and iterate.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and cost observability for pipelines and warehouse workloads.
- Work in an Agile team: contribute to planning, estimation, delivery cadence, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:
- 5+ years in Data Engineering with a minimum of ~3 years on GCP and production experience with BigQuery.
- Strong dbt expertise and proven dimensional modelling skills (star schemas, grain, SCD patterns).
- Practical experience with Airflow/Cloud Composer or similar orchestration tools.
- Hands-on with ingestion technologies: CDC, streaming, REST APIs, SFTP; familiarity with Cloud Storage, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions.
- Strong SQL, scripting (Python/SQL), and experience with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform desirable).
- Experience building production-grade, observable, and cost-efficient analytics platforms; good stakeholder communication skills.
