## About the role

Responsibilities:
- Design and implement backend services for a new banking platform using Kotlin/Java and Spring Boot.
- Build scalable, loosely-coupled systems and event-driven components to handle financial workflows.
- Implement and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs to connect with external financial partners.
- Collaborate in agile, cross-functional teams; translate product requirements into technical designs.
- Ensure high code quality via automated tests, CI/CD pipelines and code reviews.
- Participate in architecture decisions, performance tuning and operational readiness for production services.
- Produce clear documentation and communicate effectively with engineering and product stakeholders.

Requirements:
- University degree or equivalent qualification in computer science, engineering or related field.
- Strong experience with Kotlin and/or Java and frameworks like Spring Boot.
- Familiarity with Docker and cloud infrastructure; experience with event-based asynchronous architectures.
- Experience or knowledge of AWS, Terraform, Python and GraphQL is a plus.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design, scalable architecture and test automation.
- Comfortable working in agile teams with CI/CD practices.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to well-architected, testable and documented code.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams; prior financial services experience is a plus.
