Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and deploy production-grade ML models and services within a global data ecosystem on Google Cloud Platform.
- Lead development of end-to-end, scalable ML pipelines for ingestion, processing, training and inference.
- Establish and manage model lifecycle workflows using MLflow, DVC and versioning best practices.
- Containerize ML applications with Docker and orchestrate deployments on Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with DevOps and Data Engineering to build GitLab CI/CD pipelines and automate releases.
- Monitor, optimize and ensure reliability and observability of ML systems in production.
- Drive architecture decisions, share best practices and mentor junior engineers to raise team capability.
Requirements:
- Advanced Python skills and solid software engineering experience.
- Demonstrated success deploying ML models to production on GCP (Vertex AI experience preferred).
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD (GitLab preferred).
- Practical knowledge of ML lifecycle tools (MLflow, DVC) and working in Agile/SCRUM teams.
- Strong collaboration skills with Data Engineers and DevOps; ability to influence architectural choices.
- Nice to have: experience with R, large-scale data ecosystems and infrastructure-as-code.
