Responsibilities:
- Design, build and maintain backend services for payments, banking processing and CFD trading with a focus on low-latency and high availability.
- Integrate internal and third-party systems, consolidating multiple data sources into reliable services and APIs.
- Write reusable, secure, performant and well-tested code; implement automated testing and CI practices.
- Define and maintain central database schemas that model business processes and ensure data integrity.
- Investigate and resolve incidents, perform root-cause analysis and recommend improvements to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate within Agile teams, participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in backend development with strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
- Deep understanding of asynchronous programming patterns, event loops and their edge cases in Node.js.
- Experience integrating multiple databases and data sources; strong database schema design skills.
- Solid grasp of scalable application design principles, performance tuning and observability.
- Proficiency with Git and familiarity with Node.js frameworks (Express, Koa, Hapi) and GraphQL is a plus.
- Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, Docker and Kubernetes, and prior Financial Services/Fintech exposure preferred.
- Excellent English communication skills.
