## About the role

Responsibilities:
- Evolve platform architecture in partnership with the Technical Director to meet scale and Live Ops needs.
- Design, build and operate scalable backend services powering Live Ops, social features and game systems.
- Modernize legacy systems and deliver extensible APIs, data models, background services and web tooling.
- Own cloud infrastructure and deployment environments using cloud-native practices (Kubernetes, IaC, CI/CD).
- Improve observability: implement monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting and runbook-driven incident response.
- Participate in on-call rotation and collaborate closely with designers, product and analytics to deliver platform solutions.

Requirements:
- Strong production experience building and operating backend services for large-scale systems (preferably games/Live Ops).
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (Google Cloud), Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker and infrastructure-as-code.
- Experience with Go (preferred) or similar languages, distributed systems and API design.
- Solid observability and operational experience: monitoring, tracing, alerting and incident management.
- Good communication skills and ability to balance short-term operational needs with long-term architecture.

## Responsibilities

You will design, build, and operate scalable backend services and cloud infrastructure to support live game operations and platform reliability. Additionally, you will partner with the technical director to modernize legacy systems and improve observability across the platform ecosystem.

## Requirements

Candidates must have solid experience in building and scaling production backend services and working with cloud-native infrastructure like Kubernetes and Terraform. Proficiency in Go is highly valued, along with a strong operational mindset for monitoring and incident response.
