## About the role

Responsibilities:
- Architect, build and maintain reliable data products: pipelines, APIs, and services consumed by internal teams and customers.
- Design, scale and operate the data lake and batch/stream pipelines (e.g., Spark) to ensure robust ingestion and transformation for analytical and production use.
- Apply data-science techniques to explore large datasets, surface insights, define metrics and measure product impact (A/B testing, statistical inference).
- Integrate ML/AI where it improves product quality or developer productivity; produce reproducible model pipelines and monitoring.
- Drive CI/CD, testing, observability and performance practices across data and ML workflows.
- Collaborate across data engineers, ML engineers, product and infra teams to align data capabilities with business needs.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers and data scientists; review designs and promote best practices.

Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, ML, Statistics or related field (BSc/MSc/PhD preferred).
- 5+ years building data-intensive systems with strong software engineering discipline (architecture, testing, CI/CD).
- Hands-on Python experience and familiarity with distributed processing frameworks (Spark or equivalent).
- Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS or similar), data lakes, and productionizing ML workflows.
- Familiarity with experiment design, A/B testing and statistical reasoning for product decisions.
- Experience building APIs, production data pipelines, monitoring and alerting for data services.
- Strong communication skills and experience mentoring teammates; pragmatic ownership of end-to-end systems.

## Responsibilities

You will architect and build reliable data products, pipelines, and services while maintaining the data lake infrastructure. Additionally, you will apply data science techniques to uncover patterns and mentor junior team members.
