Responsibilities:
- Design and build a high-performance data aggregation platform to replace on-the-fly calculations for insights.
- Implement robust schemas, optimize queries and data pipelines spanning relational and non-relational stores.
- Deliver latency- and cost-sensitive services that handle multi-currency, multi-region and external provider data.
- Own notification and dashboard backends (push, email, user summaries) that surface contextual recommendations.
- Collaborate with product managers, analysts, designers and other engineering teams to align data models and APIs.
- Maintain testable, clean code and reliable CI/CD pipelines for safe rollouts and monitoring.

Requirements:
- 5+ years software development experience, preferably with Java and backend systems.
- Strong experience with relational and non-relational databases, schema design and query optimisation.
- Knowledge of distributed and concurrent systems, performance tuning and large-scale data aggregation.
- Product mindset with focus on user experience and data-driven decision making.
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven practice in code reviews, automated testing, observability and CI/CD.
