## About the role

Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end delivery of features for the Checkout team: design, implement, test, deploy and maintain.
- Design and build scalable backend services and APIs in PHP/Symfony, partnering with architects on architecture decisions.
- Collaborate with product stakeholders to define requirements, plan milestones and iterate based on metrics.
- Work across the stack with SQL, Elasticsearch, message queues (RabbitMQ/SQS), Kubernetes and AWS.
- Contribute to technical standards, code reviews, mentoring and hiring activities.
- Use and integrate LLM-based tools to build AI-driven product features when relevant.

Requirements:
- 5+ years professional software engineering experience.
- Expert-level PHP and Symfony experience and strong backend architectural skills.
- Experience building scalable, distributed systems and designing robust APIs.
- Familiarity with relational databases, Elasticsearch and message-based systems.
- Comfortable with Kubernetes and AWS deployment patterns.
- Experience using or building with LLM/AI tools and collaborating directly with business stakeholders.
- Solid English communication and a continuous-learning mindset.
