## About the role

Responsibilities:
- Build, operate and improve the Database Platform: design and maintain scalable, secure data storage infrastructure (PostgreSQL, AmazonRDS, S3).
- Implement infrastructure as code and automation to increase reliability and repeatability (Terraform / CloudFormation).
- Maintain containerized workloads and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS).
- Operate CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins).
- Monitor and improve observability (metrics, logging, tracing) to meet SLOs (DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Participate in incident response and on-call rotations; troubleshoot production issues and drive root-cause fixes.
- Collaborate with product teams to streamline database provisioning and operational runbooks.
- Contribute code, documentation and the team roadmap; mentor and share knowledge.

Requirements:
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS and managing cloud infrastructure.
- Operational experience with relational DBs and managed services (PostgreSQL, AmazonRDS) and object storage (S3).
- Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes/EKS in production environments.
- Practical experience with IaC tools (Terraform or CloudFormation).
- Competent in at least one programming language (Python preferred) and automation of CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid understanding of cloud networking and security best practices.
- Familiarity with observability tooling (DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
- Nice to have: deep database internals (tuning, HA, replication, sharding) and backend engineering experience.
- Strong communication, ownership mindset and eagerness to learn.

## Responsibilities

You will develop and maintain scalable database platform infrastructure while ensuring operational excellence through cloud best practices. Additionally, you will collaborate with product teams to facilitate database provisioning and participate in on-call rotations to maintain system reliability.

## Requirements

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with AWS, container orchestration, and infrastructure as code tools like Terraform. Proficiency in Python and familiarity with observability tools and database internals are also required for this role.
