## About the role

Responsibilities:
- Partner with customers to gather requirements and shape product experiences.
- Design and implement scalable backend systems to support thousands of AI-driven phone calls per day.
- Build front-end features and user flows that make sense in an AI-first product (TypeScript/React).
- Own projects end-to-end: design, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and post-release support.
- Make core architectural decisions and improve system reliability, performance, and observability.
- Work cross-functionally with product, design, and support to iterate quickly and deliver impact.

Requirements:
- 2+ years professional software engineering experience.
- Strong PostgreSQL skills: complex queries, indexing, performance tuning, and optimization.
- Hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, Node.js, and familiarity with Python.
- Experience building scalable asynchronous or real-time processing systems.
- Proven ability to own projects from 0→1 and operate in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills; comfortable translating customer problems into product features.
- Familiarity with Temporal.io, Twilio, or Modal is a plus.

## Responsibilities

You will design and build scalable backend infrastructure for an AI voice platform while working closely with customers to solve their challenges. You will own high-stakes projects end-to-end, from initial concept through production and post-release support.

## Requirements

The role requires at least 2 years of professional software engineering experience with strong proficiency in PostgreSQL and backend architecture. Candidates should be familiar with the modern web stack including TypeScript, React, Node, and Python, and have a track record of developing products from 0 to 1.
