Responsibilities:
- Deliver a 12-week internship project that moves into production, including design, implementation, testing, and release preparation.
- Work on core engine topics: query performance, fault tolerance, LLM/vector index features, SIMD/LLVM codegen, and query optimizer modules.
- Write, test, and benchmark low-level systems code to improve database reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with senior engineers across product, detection, and operations to ensure feature safety and production readiness.
- Contribute to documentation, code reviews, and CI processes to maintain high code quality.

Requirements:
- Enrolled in a B.S. program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Strong CS fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, complexity, and performance analysis.
- Proficient in C++ or C and comfortable with system-level programming and debugging.
- Interest in databases, distributed systems, concurrency, and multithreading.
- Preferred: knowledge of operating systems, SIMD/LLVM optimization techniques, vector indexes, LLM integrations, and fault-tolerance design.
