## About the role

Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Work on greenfield projects and improve existing systems powering card payments, treasury and transaction booking.
- Apply clean code principles, TDD and CI/CD to deliver reliable, maintainable software.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into working features.
- Participate in code reviews and share knowledge to raise team quality and delivery speed.

Requirements:
- Demonstrable backend development experience in Java and familiarity with Spring Boot.
- Experience with relational databases (Postgres) and designing RESTful microservices.
- Practical experience with TDD, CI/CD and agile development practices.
- Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong communication skills in English and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team.
- Experience in fintech or building systems that operate at scale is an advantage.
