Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain mission control and ground-segment software used in testing and live operations.
- Work across the full software lifecycle: requirements, design, implementation, automated testing, deployment, and operational support.
- Build scalable, reliable systems for real-time data ingestion, processing, and storage to support expanding mission activities.
- Integrate message/event systems and object storage to ensure performant data flows for flight controllers and engineers.
- Create and maintain tooling, developer workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and operational validation processes.
- Collaborate closely with test, engineering, and operations teams to gather requirements and iterate on solutions.
- Provide user support, troubleshoot incidents, and implement fixes to maintain high availability.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews, documentation, and engineering best practices.

Requirements:
- Professional experience in backend development using Python and/or Ruby (Rails) and frontend work with React, Vue, or similar.
- Strong understanding of OOP, software design patterns, and building maintainable codebases.
- Hands-on experience with message brokers or streaming systems (e.g., Redis Streams, Kafka) and real-time data pipelines.
- Familiarity with object storage solutions (MinIO, AWS S3) and handling large datasets.
- Proficient with Git and automated testing frameworks; experience with observability and operational monitoring.
- Experience designing and operating scalable distributed systems; comfortable with CI/CD and containerized workflows.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance delivery speed with quality in an agile environment.
- Nice-to-have: relational or time-series DB experience, cloud (AWS/Azure), containerization, and prior work in safety-critical or space domains.
