Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and refine C++ architecture for Zivid Motion’s motion planning software, focusing on robustness and maintainability.
- Profile and optimise core algorithms for GPU acceleration to produce safe, efficient, collision-free robot paths.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated tests (unit, integration, system) and deployment workflows for reliable releases.
- Design and maintain public/internal APIs, support customer integrations and resolve integration issues in the field.
- Collaborate across disciplines (robotics, design, QA, product) to improve UX, simulation fidelity and overall solution quality.
- Participate in code reviews, raise engineering standards and document design decisions.
Requirements:
- BSc/MSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience and professional experience developing production-grade C++ software (typically 2–5 years).
- Experience with performance optimisation and profiling; familiarity with GPGPU programming (SYCL or similar) is highly valued.
- Practical knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps tools (Docker, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI) and strong automated testing practices.
- Python skills and experience with ML/AI algorithm development, system testing or robotics/3D vision are desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills, effective communicator and a collaborative mindset for a small cross-functional engineering team.
