## About the role

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and operate production voice AI systems: retrieval-augmented generation, dynamic model routing, transcription evaluation, and real-time audio pipelines.
- Build a distributed call scheduler to manage concurrency, retries, time zones, provider limits and race conditions.
- Extend agents across voice, messaging, and email while maintaining shared memory/state across synchronous and asynchronous flows.
- Develop memory and reasoning systems to preserve conversational context through workflows.
- Create AI-assisted tools for configuring agents, diagnosing issues, and integrating with CRMs, calendars, and email.
- Improve observability and resilience: make failures traceable and ensure graceful recovery of calls, workers, and providers.

Requirements:
- Production experience building and owning distributed systems and shipping end-to-end product software.
- Strong Python and FastAPI or TypeScript experience in production systems.
- Experience with real-time systems, audio processing or voice infrastructure and with LLM/AI model integration.
- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Experience designing/debugging concurrency, load balancing, and fault-tolerant systems.
- Familiarity with LiveKit, Temporal, message queues, workflow orchestration and observability tools is a plus; independent, action-oriented, and quality-focused.

## Responsibilities

You will design and operate distributed voice AI systems, including call scheduling, memory management, and integration with business tools. Additionally, you will ensure system resilience and observability while maintaining state across various communication channels.

## Requirements

Candidates must have production experience building distributed systems and proficiency in Python, FastAPI, or TypeScript. Strong knowledge of real-time systems, AI model integration, and cloud infrastructure is required.
