## About the role

Responsibilities:
- Design, build and own cloud-based data solutions on the BEAM platform with a focus on automation and reliability.
- Provide technical leadership to a small squad; prioritise and deliver complex backlog items end-to-end.
- Define and promote M&S standard data frameworks, policies and coding practices across teams.
- Develop scalable ETL pipelines and data products that meet business goals and performance SLAs.
- Mentor engineers via code reviews, pair programming and shared best practices.
- Ensure strong test coverage, observability and repeatable deployment through CI/CD and IaC.

Requirements:
- Proven leadership mindset with strong business acumen and experience guiding engineering squads.
- Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (Azure preferred) and Databricks or equivalent.
- Strong Python and/or Spark skills and solid SQL knowledge for data warehousing tasks.
- Experience designing end-to-end data solutions and building production ETL pipelines.
- Familiarity with automation, CI/CD, testing, code reviews and production monitoring.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional product and delivery teams.
