Responsibilities:
- Own the Android app for a mature consumer product: design, build, and ship new features and refinements.
- Maintain parity with iOS where appropriate and make platform-convention trade-offs.
- Manage Play Store releases, crash triage, and performance across diverse Android hardware.
- Use AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude Code) as part of daily development workflows.
- Work across projects (mobile, web, internal tools) as needed; the role values generalist contributions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and contribute to product and technical decisions.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, primarily shipping user-facing client software to the Play Store.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Strong Kotlin skills and practical experience with Jetpack Compose.
- Demonstrable 0→1 experience building the first version of a product or major feature.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and autonomous decision-making.
- Bonus: ability to read/write Swift, web frontend (React) experience, or full-stack background.
