## About the role

Responsibilities:
- Define and own the technical strategy and multi-quarter roadmap for the Recoveries platform.
- Lead cross-team initiatives to scale decisioning, improve reconciliation and strengthen data integrity.
- Drive architectural improvements for reliability, scalability and correctness of payments and partner integrations.
- Establish operational excellence: monitoring, playbooks, triage rotations, testing and on-call processes.
- Collaborate with product, risk, analytics, finance, legal and operations to align technical and business requirements.
- Mentor engineers, set team-level design and code standards, and evangelize best practices across teams.

Requirements:
- 8+ years of software engineering experience building backend systems at scale.
- Proficiency in Python or Kotlin and familiarity with cloud and infra technologies (AWS, MySQL, Kubernetes preferred).
- Experience building correctness-sensitive financial systems (reconciliation, payments, partner integrations).
- Strong system design, observability and operational practices; comfortable owning production availability.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and deliver complex, business-critical projects.

## Responsibilities

You will define the technical strategy for the Recoveries platform and lead cross-team initiatives to optimize recovery strategies and financial integrations. Additionally, you will act as a force-multiplier by setting engineering standards, mentoring team members, and ensuring system reliability through robust operational processes.

## Requirements

Candidates must have 8+ years of software engineering experience with proficiency in Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes. You must also have experience architecting complex, correctness-sensitive backend systems and the ability to drive technical outcomes across organizational boundaries.
