Responsibilities:
- Build, test and maintain repeatable ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform and reconcile data from multiple authoritative and programme-specific sources.
- Design and implement data models, business definitions, quality checks and lineage to produce trustworthy decision-support datasets.
- Work directly with programme managers, analysts and data owners to map decisions to required data and validate outputs.
- Prototype and deploy digital data-collection workflows to replace spreadsheet/manual reporting.
- Create dashboards, metrics and visualisations to surface programme status, dependencies and risks.
- Apply descriptive and diagnostic analysis and pragmatic predictive techniques where they materially support decisions.
- Document sources, transformations, models and runbooks; hand over operational processes so they are maintainable.
Requirements:
- Degree in data science, CS, engineering, statistics, operations research or equivalent practical experience.
- Recent, hands-on end-to-end delivery of data solutions (need identification through operational delivery).
- At least ~3 years (within last 5) of data integration/engineering experience and hands-on work in past 2 years.
- At least ~2 years (within last 5) of SQL plus an analytical language (Python/R) with recent hands-on use.
- Experience building BI products, data modelling, data quality controls and governance practices.
- Experience designing digital data-collection or workflow automation solutions and integrating with enterprise sources.
- Comfortable troubleshooting ownership, lineage and quality issues; strong written English for documentation and handover.
