IT Platform Engineer – Enterprise Data Lake at Wypoon Technologies

Responsibilities:
- Design, build and operate a secure, scalable Enterprise Data Lake on Microsoft Azure.
- Build cloud-native data platform capabilities using Azure services including Azure Databricks.
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) for repeatable, auditable deployments.
- Create and optimize CI/CD pipelines, DevOps workflows and automated release processes.
- Apply software engineering best practices: SOLID principles, design patterns and domain-driven design (DDD).
- Develop and maintain automated testing (pytest, mocking) and platform monitoring/alerting.
- Ensure platform reliability, scalability, fault tolerance and security across environments.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, security and business stakeholders; mentor peers and share knowledge.

Requirements:
- Strong software engineering experience with Python and object-oriented design.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure Databricks in production environments.
- Proven Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience for cloud platforms.
- Solid understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, platform automation and cloud SDKs.
- Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, SOLID principles and DDD.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks (pytest preferred) and test automation strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions and work cross-functionally.
