Lead Developer and DevOps Engineer at Ascentis

Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of developers, set technical direction and ensure delivery quality in an Agile environment.
- Define and enforce software architecture, coding standards and best practices across projects.
- Design and deliver full-stack web applications with significant Angular frontend work and performant database design.
- Build, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and deployment workflows.
- Design, implement and operate cloud infrastructure and container orchestration using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, secure and maintainable solutions.

Requirements:
- Proven experience in a senior technical lead role, making architectural decisions and leading teams in Agile delivery.
- Strong full-stack development skills with deep experience in Angular and backend/database design for scalability.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation and container orchestration (AKS or similar).
- Excellent communication, mentoring and stakeholder-management skills.
- Desirable: experience with Rust and prior work in education or charity sector is a plus.
