About the role
Responsibilities:
- Lead and grow the Platform Integration engineering team: run 1:1s, set expectations, coach, manage performance, and own hiring/onboarding.
- Own the team roadmap, delivery, resourcing and engagement; prioritise programme commitments versus long-term investments.
- Define technical direction for vehicle interfacing software (Vehicle Driver, drive-by-wire, vehicle-facing drivers) and reusable interfaces.
- Plan and execute vehicle bring-up from bench integration through on-vehicle validation and handover; secure cross-team support and resources.
- Establish reliability targets, release processes, testing ownership and incident/escalation practices; use field feedback to prioritise fixes.
- Coordinate dependencies across controls, hardware, software and ops teams; surface risks and trade-offs early.
Requirements:
- Proven track record leading software or systems engineering teams (people management, hiring, performance management).
- Hands-on experience with embedded, robotics or automotive software and vehicle integration (drive-by-wire, CAN, vehicle bring-up, validation).
- Strong technical judgement in architecture, interfaces and trade-offs between short-term delivery and long-term platform health.
- Experience with vehicle bench integration, HIL/validation processes and cross-functional delivery in OEM or program environments.
- Excellent communication, prioritisation and stakeholder management skills; ability to drive decisions and clear ownership.
Responsibilities
You will lead and develop a team of engineers responsible for integrating software and interfaces into new vehicle platforms. This involves managing the team's roadmap, delivery, and technical direction while ensuring high standards for reliability and performance.
Requirements
You must have a strong track record of leading software or systems engineering teams and managing complex engineering programs. Practical experience in developing embedded or robotics software for physical products is required, along with the ability to guide architectural decisions.
