Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and scale backend services that support Tabby’s core financial products under high load.
- Develop and maintain microservices using best practices for reliability, performance, and observability.
- Implement and optimize data storage and caching (PostgreSQL, Redis) and deploy services on Kubernetes/GCP.
- Integrate third-party APIs and collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver features end-to-end.
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code; participate in code reviews and CI/CD workflows (GitLab).
- Work effectively in a fully remote, cross-functional team and mentor junior engineers when needed.
Requirements:
- 5+ years backend engineering experience, with at least 2 years working with Golang (or willingness to learn Go).
- Proven experience building scalable, distributed systems and high-load architectures.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with microservices patterns, API design, and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab desirable).
- Strong problem-solving, ownership, and written/verbal English communication skills for remote collaboration.
