Responsibilities:
- Lead a world-class multi-disciplinary mechanical engineering team: hire, onboard, mentor and run career development and appraisal processes.
- Coordinate with engineering peers to capture demand, plan resources and balance capability with programme needs.
- Promote and enforce technical excellence and compliance with design organisation standards; engage in technical reviews as needed.
- Implement and sustain Lean methods, standard work and continuous improvement activities to enhance delivery and quality.
- Oversee team finances: budget planning, spend tracking and approvals for labour and project costs.
- Provide regular reporting on team status, projects, risks and improvement opportunities to engineering leadership.

Requirements:
- Significant senior engineering and functional management experience, ideally in aerospace or another regulated industry.
- Demonstrated ability to lead leaders and manage multi-disciplinary design and analysis teams.
- Strong engineering fundamentals, familiarity with airworthiness processes and experience resolving complex technical issues.
- Background in Lean, process improvement and financial management for engineering organizations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills to influence strategy and deliverables.
