About the role
Responsibilities:
- Research, design and implement techniques to compress and optimise large language models (LLMs), leveraging quantum-inspired/tensor-network methods.
- Train, fine-tune and benchmark LLMs for production use, improving accuracy, efficiency and robustness.
- Build LLM-based applications (RAG, AI agents) and integrate models into product pipelines and client solutions.
- Design and deliver custom deep learning models for client projects across NLP and computer vision when needed.
- Maintain experiment reproducibility, documentation and performance evaluations; collaborate with engineering to productionise models (Docker, AWS/GPU infra).
- Mentor junior ML engineers and share best practices in model development and evaluation.
Requirements:
- Degree in CS, ML, physics, maths or related field and ~5+ years hands-on experience training or fine-tuning deep learning models.
- Strong proficiency in Python, PyTorch and transformer ecosystems (HuggingFace); experience with MLOps and model deployment tooling.
- Practical knowledge of GPU architectures, profiling and cost-aware training; familiarity with cloud GPU environments (AWS/GCP) and containers.
- Experience with model compression, tensor networks or quantum-inspired methods is highly desirable.
- Excellent experimental rigor, problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical results to cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
You will design and develop techniques to compress Large Language Models using quantum-inspired technologies and build LLM-based applications like RAG and AI agents. Additionally, you will conduct performance evaluations, fine-tune models for efficiency, and mentor junior team members in technical growth.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a degree in a relevant field and possess at least 5 years of hands-on experience in training or fine-tuning deep learning models. Proficiency in Python, transformer libraries, and a strong understanding of GPU architectures and cloud environments are required.
